'Tis the season, and if any of you are like me you are now running out of time for gift ideas. I will offer you a few good ideas for your pet owning friends, or relatives. We will call this roster "Eberle’s Top Ten List" and I’ll pretend to be David Letterman. Here we go:
Number 10: How about a gift card for a free nail trim or better yet, twelve months of nail trims. This is relatively inexpensive and many pet owners hate doing it themselves.
Number 9: Buy your friend a gift card for a certified organic bag of treats every month. We carry organic treats called Karma, and Midge and Lola love them!
Number 8: Choose from our list of boarding extras for those who have to board their pet. These extras include nature walks, pamper and plays, baths and many more.
Number 7: I haven’t forgotten you feline owners. How about a Kitty Cuddle Package? We will accommodate almost any request you may have for entertaining your kitty.
Number 6: A Doggie Day Spa, were we will trim the nails (even paint them if you wish), take your favorite pooch for a nature walk, and finish off the day with a bath and blow dry. Sounds like something our dog owners would enjoy almost as much as their dogs!
Number 5: Many of your friends and relatives will be adding new kittens and puppies to their families. Why not purchase a gift certificate for a spay or neuter? Everyone spays and neuters nowadays and you would be giving a very nice gift—plus, it would be politically correct.
Number 4: We are moving up the cost scale a little bit with this one: a gift card for a year’s supply of heartworm prevention or flea preventative would be a wonderful gift. Or maybe it’s just a co-worker you need something for? In that case, maybe a one month supply of each would be a nice stocking stuffer. Either way, this is a very thoughtful gift.
Number 3: This would be tremendous for some of our boarding regulars: buy them a gift card for a week or month of boarding, or just name the number of days. Everyone knows someone who needs to board their pets.
Number 2: Puppy, Adult or Senior Care Wellness Packages. This is perfect for the parent who wants to help out their son or daughter with pet care. These care packages include all the vaccinations, heartworm and fecal laboratory tests, yearly day spa, yearly blood work and other extras which make these a very loving gift. For all the details on our Wellness Packages, check them out here at the Eberle Animal Hospital website.
Number 1: A furmination (de-shed treatment). This special shampoo, rinse and coat rake-out is becoming one of our favorite services. Nobody wants company to think they live in a house full of hair. So call for an appointment to de-shed your favorite dog or cat and buy a gift card for your friends or relatives who own a little (or big) hair machine. Midge and Lola had their furmination last week and are now standing tall for the holiday. Your dog or cat can be standing tall also!
